Aldinga reef ramble - Encounter Marine Park
Event Information
About this Event
Reef Watch will be leading a guided 'Reef Ramble' at the southern end of Aldinga Reef. This is a great way to learn about our fascinating and unique rock pool flora and fauna. Participants will have an opportunity to participate in finding and identifying marine life on the intertidal zone.
Meet: at car park at the corner of Morgan Street and the Esplanade for a safety briefing and sign in before walking down to the reef.
Bring: covered toe shoes (they will get wet), camera, hat, sunscreen, a drinking water bottle and your curiosity!
Ages: Suitable for ages 5 to adult.
IMPORTANT:
- Please wear covered toe footwear (e.g. sneakers, walking shoes, reef shoes, dive/snorkel boots).
- Please dress for the weather: warm clothing, towels, sunscreen, hats etc.
- This event is open to children over 5 years, however parents need to be responsible for and accompany their children on the reef ramble.
- Accessibility: there are stairs between the reef and carpark. The reef surface is uneven. Not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs.
