The ambition of the AIUS – SA for 2016 extends beyond Adelaide and South Australia. It’s about drawing on our local capacity to contribute to solving the serious problems of our region and our time.

In 2016, the AIUS – SA will focus on Climate Change, acknowledging that it is one of the most important issues of our time. In relation to Climate Change, throughout 2016, the AIUS - SA will explore and articulate what an inspiring urban future looks like for Adelaide and South Australia, that’s good for people and the planet.

In this context, throughout the year, the AIUS - SA will:

  • publish Urban Issues - a series of brief essays
  • host a series of Urban briefing events - soiree style networking events
  • host a range of Urban forum events - professional presentations.

These platforms will enable us to collaboratively explore and articulate this important topic from a range of perspectives including; governance, the built/landscape environment, the natural environment, industry/ innovation/the economy and jobs, people and culture as well as the natural environment.

Our end of year essay and forum will bring together the discussion across the various areas to provide a compelling and inspiring future vision and call to action for Adelaide and South Australian in relation to climate change.

I invite you and your organisation to join us in this quest.

Membership includes:

  • discount tickets to all events (Certificate of Attendance provided for CPD purposes for all events)
