Age Friendly Illawarra - a thriving region for everyone
Event Information
Description
Is the Illawarra a thriving community for all ages? What unique features and challenges can we embrace as a region?
Age Friendly Illawarra invites stakeholders across industry, business and community to join us in driving the age-friendliness of the Illawarra.
With guest speaker Kathryn Greiner AO, Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Ageing, we'll explore the latest regional innovations, collaborations and partnerships capitalising on our thriving ageing region. Project leaders will share their regional approach to issues across the WHO domains of outdoor spaces and environment, social & civic participation and information & communication.
Learn about Age Friendly Illawarra's three year action plan and our regional application to the World Health Organization's Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities based on our extensive community consultation.
Find out how you can join our mission of creating opportunities for older people to lead active and engaged lives and contribute positively to our region.
