Afresh Fire Conference
Fri. 26 May 2017, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm AEST
The theme of the conference is fresh fire, a time to expect and trust God for revival. We are praying and hoping that through Afresh Fire Conference, God’s people: men, women, youth children and families as a whole will be awakened, rejuvenated, strengthened, re-energized and empowered to seek God and renew their hope in Him.
Drawing upon great men and women of our faith who have gone before us (there are many), revival simply means, renewal, restoration or coming to live (something that is dead or has grown dormant). When people have lost their hunger and thirst for God, relationships have grown cold, moral decay is rife in society and there is denigration of social values, a need for revival is evident! Revival begins in the church and affects the community and the nation. Geographical borders cannot contain or limit the move of God. As Charles Spurgeon intimated, “revival begins by Christians getting right first and then spills over into the world”. Revival begins with an earnest desire for God and His presence, expressed through fervent prayer. A true and genuine revival leads to depth in the Christian faith experience of the individual. We believe we are at the brink of a major revival and want to be a part of it, will you? Past revivals have had diverse signatures or manifestations. We believe that in the coming revival, God is bringing together “all truth” as our Lord Jesus Christ promised, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come" (John 16:13)
