Event description

Description

The University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA) invites you to join a conversation with some of our community's leading advocates and organisers.

Discover the secrets of successful advocacy campaigns and activists; and learn how to build community movements, both at uni and beyond, at this panel.

Be inspired to take action on the issues that matter most to you.

Focusing on the particular challenges faced by minority groups, including women students, LGBTIQ+ students and international students, we'll question the status quo and bring together key leaders in our community to share the challenges and successes of their work.

This event is co-hosted by the GSA Women's Officer, GSA LGBTIQ Officer and GSA International Officer.

Panelists

  • Van Badham - Guardian Australia columnist, commentator, theatremaker, feminist and activist.

  • Nina Khairina - President of the Council of International Students Australia.

  • Coby Liew - social worker, psychotherapist and founder of My Rainbow Story.
