About this event
Area of Interest: Capability Systems
Course Summary
This two-day advanced course is designed for individuals with a fundamental understanding of simulation modeling who aim to enhance their implementation skills in AnyLogic Software. The course will cover various simulation modeling methods, including System Dynamics, Agent-Based, and Discrete-Event, with a particular emphasis on their integration to tackle a wide array of decision problems prevalent in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and beyond.
Participants will gain proficiency in implementing these methods within the AnyLogic Software environment, utilizing specialized libraries such as material handling, pedestrian, and road traffic. Through hands-on exercises, attendees will reinforce their simulation model development skills and acquire practical expertise. Furthermore, the course will encompass topics such as the interaction of simulation models with external environments (e.g., SQL and Excel), GIS integration, advanced Java programming, model calibration and optimization, among other essential functionalities of AnyLogic tools for modeling and solving complex problems.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will possess the skill set necessary to construct comprehensive and large-scale simulation models, visualize simulation outputs through interactive dashboards, and generate animations. These capabilities will empower individuals to make more informed decisions based on insightful simulations.
Learning Outcomes
By completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the existing various types of simulation methods
- Build simulation models in AnyLogic with various methods for a wide range of applications
- Develop interactive state-of-art dynamic simulation dashboards
- Couple AnyLogic simulation models with external applications including databases
Duration: 2 days run from 10am - 4pm daily
Delivery Mode: In-person delivery at UNSW City Campus in Reid, Canberra
