Event description

Description

This event will be an opportunity to highlight the carbon-reduction potential of geopolymer concrete to representatives from industry, research and government.

In addition, the workshop will examine the constraints preventing wider take-up of these advanced materials and explore potential opportunities for research collaboration.

A light buffet-style lunch will be provided.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Dr James Aldred, Concrete Future
  • Rod Bligh, Bligh Tanner Engineers
  • Professor Stephen Foster, CRC for Low Carbon Living & UNSW
  • Tom Glasby, Wagners EFC
  • MIchael Lord, Head of Research, Beyond Zero Emissions
  • Dr Liza O’Moore, UQ (Forum moderator & speaker)
  • Mark Roehrs, Hassell Architects

This event is jointly organised by Wagners and the UQ Global Change Institute.

Please note. There are no additional car parking spaces at the Global Change Institute. Casual parking options for the UQ St Lucia Campus are outlined here. We recommend you travel to UQ via public transport as the UQ Lakes bus terminal is only a five-minute walk from the Global Change Institute (Building 20).

For more details please email Ron Hohenhaus, GCI Communications.
