ADULTS POTTERY WORKSHOP- Yorke Peninsula
Event Information
About this Event
COME AND TRY POTTERY.
Want to try you hands at something new?
Workshops are coming back to the Yorke Peninsula after selling out in 24 hours!
LIMITED SPOTS!
In this workshop you will spend half a day learning some of the foundational techniques of hand building, including how to make a spoon and pinch pot! Students will be demonstrated some basic techniques but then will be able to freely create their own pieces, with support of the teacher - so bring any ideas you might have along with you! The session will be capped in size to ensure each student can receive one on one support if they wish.
By the end of the workshop you will have created a handful of pieces (2+ depending on what sizes you create) and will have an opportunity to decorate your pieces with underglaze paints. Your pieces will then be taken away to be bisque fired, and then finished with a clear glaze (if you choose) and fired again so your pieces will be completely finished, ceramic and food & heat safe. Finished pieces will be returned to the venue approx. a 2-3 weeks later for pick up after they've been fired.
All materials provided, but please bring along an apron or towel.
Social distancing must be adhered to and this event will be seated.
Bookings are limited.
Price: $112
Duration: 3 hours.
