Description
Mindfulness-based Stillness Meditation is an evidence based approach which has been shown to help with promoting health and well-being, reducing stress, and dealing with feelings of anxiety & depression. Groups are small and intimate in a calm, nurturing space.
All persons suited to meditation are welcome to the group, especially those new to meditation. The sessions provide a chance for beginners to explore the meditation experience and for those more experienced an opportunity to meditate together. Groups run for an hour with a combination of mindfulness and stillness meditation, personal reflection and discussion, followed by journaling or drawing to tie the experience together. Participants are welcome to bring an existing journal or sketchbook if they have one.
Jane Hall is a qualified Psychotherapist and Meditation Teacher, who uses various meditation techniques including those she received during her training at the renowned Gawler Foundation. She has a long history in the healthcarefield, as a counsellor and transformational coach and previously working as a midwife and academic. Jane is also a qualified Therapeutic Touch (TT) Practitioner and teacher, and is currently President of Therapeutic Touch Association of Australasia Inc.
