Join us at Hastings library for our Adult Art Club.

This month’s focus will be an exploration of collage and storytelling.. Literature and art often intertwine, and through storytelling we’re able to develop our knowledge of both visual and written language. Patrons will be invited to tell a story using visual materials. Patrons will use library resources to present an artwork inspired by a poem, book, movie, video or from their own lives to share at the end of the session. The key art element of focus here is space, the depth of layering and hierarchy of background vs foreground.

Art Club aims to provide a place for the creatively inclined to gather and discuss current events in the arts industry while exploring various mediums and practices.

All materials will be provided, and we welcome those with and without experience.
