Event description

Description

It is common to find job seekers with multiple qualifications but with little or no employment where they can use the assets. More painful is the reality that these qualifications depreciate over time and become obsolete if not used. The resulting disappointments and frustrations are not good for the individuals concerned, the community and our nation. We must stop the waste! Aus-Professional-Bridge (APB) collaborates with other community groups, industry and private sectors, as well as government, to provide some solutions.

APB brings a panel from government, industry and innovators to provide some hints and tips on how to successfully go from qualifications to employment in Australia. They will provide highlights on the following:

  • Evaluation and recognition of qualifications in Australia
  • Qualifications and training in demand; tips for supplementation and re-skilling
  • Current recruitment practices including value of cultural fit and diversity
  • Resilience for successful participation in the Australian workplace including real-life stories
  • Questions and Answers
