Join Professor Ian Fisk, Director of Research for the School of Biosciences, University of Nottingham, to hear about the Nottingham-Adelaide Joint PhD program.

This session aims to provide general information about the University of Nottingham as one of the University of Adelaide’s Priority Partners, as well as the Nottingham-Adelaide joint PhD program. It is relevant to those in their final year of Honours, or in the first year of their HDR degree, who may be interested in joining this program or hearing about the opportunities available. Representatives from the Adelaide Graduate Centre will also be available to answer any questions about the joint PhD program with Nottingham.

Biography

A Professor of Flavour Chemistry, Ian is the Director of Research in the School of Biosciences, at the University of Nottingham. His research interests lie in flavour management (plant biology, agricultural techniques, food production through to consumption) and fundamental food chemistry to support novel processing technologies and commercial products. Ian is Director of Research for the School of Biosciences and run FACTS (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/FACTS ), a commercial flavour and food chemistry analysis service for the food industry. He is also actively involved in teaching both at an undergraduate level, postgraduate level and to external industry through short food flavour training courses (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/facts/training-courses).
