Event description

Description

Calling Adelaide Knitters!! Want an excuse to get outside and go for a nature walk? Want to be able to meet and chat to other like-minded knitters at the same time? How about combining a nature walk with some knitting in the outdoors? Then this hike is for you! :-)

We will be taking on the Second Falls Gorge trail in Morialta Conservation Park at a nice leisurely pace with plenty of time for stopping to take photos and catch your breath along the way. Then we will take a break at one of the lookouts where we can eat our packed lunches/snacks and get out our project bags for a bit of knitting in nature! What a lovely peaceful and fun way to spend a few hours on a Saturday! It could also be a great way to meet fellow Adelaide knitters, indie dyers and pattern designers in the "real world" rather than simply following along on Instagram! If you prefer to crochet rather than knit, you are welcome to come too of course!

If you want to see some photos from our previous "Knit & Hike" events, please check out the photo albums on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/jetsetgo.fitness/

Note: Your hike host is Sarah (@HappyHobbit1 and @jetsetgo.fitness on Instagram). Sarah loves knitting as a hobby and is keen to connect with other Adelaide knitters who share her passion for creative things as well as the outdoors! The first of our "Knit & Hike" events was run in April and was lots of fun, and by popular demand they will now be run approx. once per month.

JetSetGo Fitness has a commercial tour license from DEWNR to run activities in Adelaide’s National Parks.

Requirements for participating:

Everyone participating will need to sign a waiver to say they are exercising at their own risk before commencing the hike. All participants will also be required to complete a pre-exercise screening form to help identify anyone who may be at higher risk of an adverse event during the hike. E.g. If you have particular medical issues/injuries or recent joint replacements in your knees/hips/ankles/hips this would not be suitable without medical clearance.

If you are interested in joining us, but are concerned you may not have the fitness level to take part - please contact Sarah before registering - she will be happy to chat over the phone and help you decide if it would be suitable or not and whether you might need to seek medical clearance first. JetSetGo Fitness may refuse to allow a client to participate if they are deemed to be at higher risk of an adverse event during the activity for health/fitness reasons or for other safety reasons e.g. due to not bringing appropriate gear/clothing on the hike. See www.jetsetgofitness.com for further terms and conditions.

You must be at least 18 years old to attend this event. There are no maximum age limits. If you are concerned about whether your fitness level is appropriate please contact Sarah to discuss your concerns before booking.
