Event description

Description

The ACT /SNSW End of Life and Palliative Care Research Collaborative would like to invite you to their upcoming workshop. Following the success of the inaugural workshop in February, this workshop will continue to build capacity in end of life and palliative care research in our region, as well as define more clearly the research priorities identified in the previous workshop.

Throughout the morning participants will have opportunity to hear presentations from two guest speakers:

Jane Phillips, Director IMPACCT, Professor of Palliative Nursing from University of Technology, Sydney talking about the translation of end of life and palliative care research into practice.

Christine Phillips, Associate Professor, Social Foundations of Medicine, ANU College of Health and Medicine will present on HealthANSWERS and discuss its role with end of life and palliative care research.

Participants wanting to do a 3 minute presentation on their current or recently completed research activity during the morning are asked to please contact the organiser Toni Ashmore to assist with the planning of this session.

Time is also planned for networking and sharing over morning tea and lunch.

This workshop is FREE, however places are limited to 60 people for this workshop. Due to the overwhelming response for the last workshop I encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Please contact toni.ashmore@act.gov.au if you have any questions.
