CANCELLED - Active & Connected Communities Series

And its about social connection, understanding their new home, and creating honest and meaningful connection. It is brings together those newly arrived and the longer term residents and community members to say "welcome" and to bring us together to share what we know, increase connection and belonging.

We also know that Community Leaders have the passion, energy and ability to connect with new and old arrivals. And want to do more and provide more to their communities and members - with limited resources this is a challenge.

Inspired by Communities already doing these things, we wonder if we can support you to do the same in your community........

So we are prototyping an idea. An idea that with tools, templates, training, connections and linkages - communities can drive low cost programming that better fits their community needs and bring them together to share in social activities with meaningful outcomes.

Join me, as we explore some areas we know are important to community leaders, communities and their members, and develop some workshops and opportunities for connection, for you to take back to your community and deliver yourself!

We will explore 6 key areas:

1. Employment and Getting a Job

2. Volunteering and Benefits of Volunteering

3. Local Services and Community

4. Social connections and activities

5. Home and Family Life

6. Health Systems and Other Services
