Excursion description:

This excursion is aimed at participants over the age of 50.

Participants will be introduced to the world of mosquitoes and taught how mosquito surveillance is conducted in South Australia. Participants will also be introduced to the Mozzie Monitors program and taught how to use a mosquito trap and make basic identifications. As part of this excursion, participants will be presented with their own mosquito trap to take home and an invitation to be part of the Mozzie Monitors network. An explicit demonstration of the online Mozzie Monitors photo submission and mapping system will also occur in this excursion.

This Activating Citizen Scientists project is funded by Office for the Ageing, SA Health & supported by the University of South Australia.
