Have you ever wondered how a gallery decides to give a new artist their first show, or which gallery is right for you? For an artist developing their practice, working with galleries can be something of an enigma. It can be hard to know how to proceed, with different galleries and curators suited to different artists, their work, at different points in their career. Having insight into what different galleries can provide, and how they work with artists is key to finding the right gallery for you. The right partnership can play a big role in promoting your work, and your career development.
This seminar aims to provide an understanding of some of the different types of galleries across the commercial sector, public galleries, ARIs and online galleries.
Facilitated by Liz Nowell, CEO, ACE Open, a panel of industry experts will demystify this topic and answer your questions:
