MANAGING BIG EMOTIONS - Skills for bright children who struggle with emotional regulation.
This workshop will focus on the big emotions that gifted children often find hard to manage. Through books, and activities we will look at practical strategies to regulate behaviour and act when worried, angry, stressed or nervous. We will look at the role the brain plays in how we behave and also the use of strategies like breathing and relaxation in managing our actions.
These workshops will teach strategies to support students in the development of:
- emotional regulation.
- anger management.
- conflict resolution and anti-bullying.
*Structured activities that are enjoyable whilst the students develop new skills.
*Interactive games and activities that promote positive interaction.
*Materials for parents and schools to assist in supporting the new skills
Each course is custom designed to suit the children involved.
Parents are encouraged to attend the full workshop to learn what they children have been doing in order to more actively assist them in practicing it.
