Welcome to the December Journal Club meeting.

The Journal Club has been initiated with the aim of providing a forum for infection control professionals to more widely engage with literature and published data within the field.

About the Journal Club

The Objectives of the Journal club include:

  • Critically appraising journal articles and data, and to consider the implications of study results for infection control practice
  • Recognising the strengths and weaknesses of methods used in reported clinical research
  • Providing opportunities for professional development of infection control professionals
  • Reviewing and discussing current state, national and international trends in infection control
  • Identifying gaps in the published literature thus highlighting the need/direction for future research
  • Promoting and supporting high standards of practice and professionalism for infection control professional
