ACHP Network Meeting – 27th April 2017
The ACHP network meeting is to provide information and update the sector on initiatives which the Federation have been actively involved
Consultation towards an Aboriginal peak body
An update on the move towards a peak body will be provided by the Federation with members of the interim committee. Discussion regarding membership to the Federation, sector survey and future project ideas.
Strategic vision and capacity: Looking toward the future
With the number of government initiatives and opportunities for providers to grow, this session looks at some of the questions that providers need to be considering when looking at strategic vision and capacity for the next 5 – 15yrs. Being prepared for the future is a key to long term sustainability and the Federation is keen to assist ACHP in preparing for this growth through capacity building and ongoing support.
NRS Workshop - 28th April 2017
To assist providers in preparing for the NRS we would like to extend an invitation to your organisation to attend the Preparing ACHPs for the NRS workshop. The Federation has developed an evidence assessment tool that will assist in preparing for registration. The tool covers all the performance outcome areas in the NRS Evidence Guidelines, to enable providers to develop an action plan for their own organisation and to prepare all the evidence required for providers to submit their registration application. By the end of the workshop, you will have a good understanding of how to use the evidence assessment tool and have begun to develop an action plan for undertaking the registration application. All participants will be provided with a USB that will include all the information and resources that are discussed as part of the training.
The Federation would like to also to advise that the AHO would like to pay the interim peak membership for any ACHPs who attends the NRS workshop (at $300 per provider). The AHO seeks to encourages membership of the interim peak wanting to maximise ACHPs exposure to the benefits available through membership which will includes (as outlined in the Interim Peak Proposal) access to member only bulletins, network events, discounts on services, and the advice hotline.
The AHO would also like to pay the interim peak membership for another year for those ACHPs who achieve NRS registration (at $300 per provider). This will help ensure ACHPs have continued access to support as they work towards their first compliance assessment.
