Welcome to our inaugural workshop program, Ace the Interview! Brought to you by Ace Career Coaching.

The program is designed to help first or second time job seekers, graduates or international students get a step ahead and increase your chances of landing your next job to help boost your career.

Hosted by Gareth Clarke, Head Coach of Ace Career Coaching with 20 years experience on both sides of the interviewing table in 5 countries across the world.

The ‘Ace the Interview’ workshop program is a full day session and is broken down into 4 sections;

- Ace your Confidence: learn tips to help improve your confidence to help you both in every day life but critically because being confident in an interview will increase your chances of getting the job.

- Ace your LinkedIn Skills: learn to use LinkedIn to help you not just make sure you are showing your skills and experience but to use creative techniques to help you get in front of the right people.

- Ace the Application: it’s one thing acing the interview, but in order to get the interview you have to make sure your application is appealing enough. Learn tips and tricks to help you get the request.

- Ace the Interview: you can research the best ways to ace interviews all day long, but this session will give you succinct advice on how to act, what to ask, what to do, and even what to eat!

Starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm, this is a full day session

Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided. However lunch will NOT be provided so either pack your own or there are plenty of cafes / shops nearby.

Day schedule as follows;

09:45am - Arrival

10am - Ace your Confidence!

11.15am - Morning Break (15mins)

11.30am - Ace your LinkedIn Skills!

12.15pm - Lunch (45mins)

1pm - Ace the Application!

2.15pm - Afternoon Break (15mins)

2.30pm - Ace the Interview!

4pm - Questions and Answers

5pm - Hometime!

About the Presenter;

Gareth started his career in Hospitality after graduating from a UK University with a BA/Hons in International Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2002. He went on to travel the world and worked in Malta, France, Spain and Australia in various hospitality management positions including managing a luxury ski chalet, working on blockbuster movies including Troy and Alfie, managing restaurants and wine bars in Bondi, Perth and Bournemouth (UK), and crewing a private yacht 12,000 miles around the globe. He then began his recruitment career in London in 2007, successfully placing professionals into 16 different countries before immigrating to Sydney in 2011. Since his arrival he has worked in agency and internal recruitment across multiple industries and founded a successful renewable energy subcontracting and recruitment business. In 2017 he launched Gradstream which is dedicated to sourcing australian graduates into the recruitment industry. He has held several speaking engagements at universities including UTS and Macquarie and has recently begun career coaching to use the knowledge he has gained to help others in their career through his new company Ace Career Coaching. Gareth also volunteers most years during his Christmas holidays on disaster relief projects in developing countries, and is currently working on his own Not for Profit aimed at reducing energy poverty across Asia using solar technology.
