ACCIONA Australia Waubra Wind Farm Site Visit

The MESA committee is pleased to invite MESA members and interested University of Melbourne students to join us for a guided site tour of the ACCIONA Waubra Wind Farm on Thursday the 23rd of March from 10:00am to 11:00am. The wind farm is located in Waubra, about 35km North-West of Ballarat.
Come and explore ACCIONA's largest wind farm in the world (192 MW capactiy) consisting of 128 wind turbines.
Join us in this amazing field trip where we will be expanding our understanding of the technical features of wind power farms and prepare for next year's "Renewable Energy" unit.

$20 for University of Melbourne students and staff who are not MESA members

Details for departure:
We shall travel to and from the Wind Farm via bus and meet up to depart from the entrance of the Graduate House (220 Leicester St, Carlton VIC 3053) at 7:45am. We shall depart from site at 11:00am and expect to return to Melbourne University at 1:00pm.
· Please wear covered in shoes, works books are ideal (joggers or bush walking shoes are adequate).
· Please bring wet weather gear, the weather is quite changeable. No umbrellas, they blow inside out.
· Please wear long pants and long sleeves, to protect you from the elements.
The bus will depart at 8:00am sharp.
