Accessible Homes and Communities - a Danish AT Showcase
Date and time
Description
Making Choices, Finding Innovative Solutions
Accessible Homes and Communities
The Independent Living Centre WA is partnering with the Embassy of Denmark for a presentation and demonstration of innovative home and community-care solutions.
The Danish Healthcare System is structured around keeping people at home and within their communities as long as possible. As a result, Danes have created assistive technology solutions that give people the choice to remain in their homes (no matter what their circumstances) and to be active participants in their communities. Danish homecare solutions, like Danish houses are renowned for their design quality, functionality and stylishness but mostly they are about the people who live in them and their ability to access the community around them.
The event will be opened by His Excellency Mr Tom Nørring, Ambassador of Denmark to Australia and ILC WA CEO Steve Glew followed by supplier presentations by Ropox, Pressalit, Turnaid, Liftup and others.
