BRISBANE CHAPTER

Brisbane Chapter gathers of the 2nd Saturday of the month, February – December.

VENUE CHANGE: Venue is Edinburgh Castle Hotel, 421 Gympie Rd, Kedron

February gathering of Brisbane Chapter is scheduled for Saturday, February 12.

If perchance there are COVID safe restrictions in play that make the functioning of Chapter untenable, the Eventbrite site will indicate that the event has been withdrawn. In these circumstances, those who have registered will be notified and a refund will be arranged. Should COVID restrictions be in play that limit numbers, those seeking registration will also be advised when the limit has been reached. It is suggested that folk register early, to avoid disappointment. It is to be noted that regular numbers are limited to 40: COVID restrictions could further limit number of attendees.

Time of formal proceedings is 10:00am–12:00noon.

Collegial chat and networking 9:30–10:00

Key focus of agenda is group supervision. Supervision facilitator is Bruce Hansen and the theme is ‘Conflicting Issues Around Boundaries’ – article 4.9 of code of ethics. Reference also to Scope of Practice.

Attendees are asked to bring along a copy of the code of ethics and copy of Scope of Practice documents, for reference during discussion. Copies of both documents can be downloaded from the ACA web page – publications and resources, download documents. Copies of the Scope of Practice document will be available for purchase.

Pease do not register if any of the following circumstances apply to you …

• You are unwell

• You have been in close contact with a known active case of COVID 19

• You have COVID 19 symptoms

In addition, please do not attend meeting if you are unwell on the day or if any of the above circumstances come into play.

Upon arrival, as per legislated requirements for hotel entry, attendees will be asked to show proof of COVID double vaccination. Only those with proof of vaccination will be admitted.

Attendees are asked to sign in, registering name and ticket number, and also ticking the box to indicate if you are an ACA member or a visitor.

At this point in time, attendees are required to wear masks, which can be removed when eating and drinking – tea, coffee, and bicies will be available.

Participation in a Chapter supervision activity attracts 1 hour supervision credit. Please bring along log for signing on the day of participation: logs will not be post dated. Logs can be downloaded from the ACA web site – publications and resources, download documents, other, members only, ACA log book.

Following formalities, attendees are invited to linger over lunch in the bistro and network with colleagues. An appetising selection of menu choice is provided by the bistro, at reasonable prices.
