Your true creative spirit will be revealed as you discover the amazing effects of expressive mark-making and the effects of pure colour, shape, tone and contrast when applied directly onto canvas. Paint and painting is a proven relaxing therapy when we release control, and enable the impact of the creative impulse. Ever wondered what would happen if you simply play with paint? Discover your own personal journey and what resonates with your spirit. With our guided class you’ll discover what your creativity can muster. Each week we explore many techniques for creating abstract paintings. The accidental process, automatic mark-making, geometrical shapes or simply splashing paint onto the canvas to see what the paint itself can create.

Throughout the day you there will be demonstrations followed by hands-on exercises for you to engage. These will be a wide range of approaches for abstract painting techniques. You can then choose which approach you’d like to experiment with for your painting. Delve into the world of abstraction in this fully immersive creative workshop to create your own finished painting by the conclusion of the day workshop. See the outline below:
