FUN RUN & WALK ACTIVITY

How does the Fun Run & Walk start?

The fun run will start at 10.30 am. Registration for the fun run & walk will start at from 9.30 am. Please note there will be only one official starting time. You may enter the race after this start time but please note this will reduce your time to complete additional laps. No participants will be permitted to start after 12.00pm. Race closes 12.30pm.

Do I have to run?

NO! You can choose to run, jog, walk or dance this fun trail. The choice is yours. It’s all about bringing families and local community together for a day of fun, movement and colour. Other fun activities will be available on the day.

How many laps do I have to do?

It’s up to you. You can do one lap, two laps, three laps or four. The choice is yours. The limit per runner/walker for the day is four laps.

Do runners, joggers, walkers & dancers use the same trail?

Yes it will be the same trail but the outside of the trail will be for runners & joggers and the inside of the trail will be for walkers & dancers. This won’t be marked so we ask that everyone is mindful of each other and use their common sense to ensure a great day is had by all.

Is water supplied?

Yes. Water will be available on the day.

COLOUR POWDER

How does the colour bombing work?

There will four points where you can get colour bombed. The first point will be at the start of the race. The second, third and fourth points will be along the trail. If you decided to do a second, third or fourth lap, run to the lap number point where you will be colour bombed with a different colour. Remember the more laps the more colourful you will be.

What is the colour made from? Does it stain?

The coloured powder is made from corn-starch and natural food dyes. It will wash out of your clothes, however we suggest you leave your designer gear at home! Only wear what you’re willing to get colourful ;)

Will the colour stain my hair?

The coloured powder does wash out of your hair, however we do recommend you take precautions if you’re worried! The colour does tend to stick to lighter hair... Blondes you are warned! Oiling your hair before the run will help the colour wash out. If you’re having trouble washing it after the event, bi-carb soda and anti-dandruff shampoo will help get the more stubborn colour out!

Please note we do not take any responsibility for additional costs associated with the removal of colour.

Will the colour ruin clothes or running shoes?

The colour does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colourful. Please note we do not take any responsibility for any damage of clothing that may occur due to the colour bombs.

How do I preserve those precious colours in my shirt?

If you would like to preserve the colour in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar, let it dry and then iron it.

But if you wash it....it eventually will come out.
