About this event
Aboriginal Australians have been looking at the night sky for thousands of years. They use the stars for navigation, education, a seasonal guide to the availability of foods, and to reinforce cultural identity and spirituality. Come learn about some of the Dreaming stories; their 'dark pattern' constellations such as the 'celestial emu'; the names given to the stars and differences between the way the sky is viewed by contemporary astronomers.
