Description

Primary School foundation teachers are invited to learn about Wyndham Kindergartens embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives.

About this Event

Educator-led curriculum focused site tours offered over three Wyndham Kindergarten sites to open the dialogue between Kindergartens and Schools to support:

- Aboriginal and/or Torre Strait Islander children to be confident in their cultures and identity throughout their educational journey;

- Seamless transition and continuation of curriculum; and

- Commitment to Reconciliation.

Come and be a part of a session that includes:

- Walk through the Kindergarten environment and learn how early childhood educators create culturally safe places for Aboriginal children and families

- Discussions with early childhood educators who are focused on growing children’s knowledge and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions

- Gain practical ideas and strategies to take back with you to the classroom

- Build relationships with local Kindergartens and Schools and be a part of a collaborative learning network

There is a capacity of 15 participants per session so please book early. Other sessions available via alternate Eventbrite listings.
