Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competency Training

Working and Walking Together

Presented by Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC)

A two-day Aboriginal and Torrres Strait Islander Cultural Competency Workshop for family and community services. SNAICC developed this training in partnership with Family Relationships Services Australia (FRSA), to support family and relationship services work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children. The program is based in their popular resource 'Working and Walking Together'. Each participant will receive a copy of this resource.

This workshop is designed for:

  • Agencies and services wanting to gain cultural knowledge for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families

  • Individuals who want to increase their knowledge on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and it's diversity

  • Organisations wanting to increase cultural appropriateness of their service for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and community

*No prerequisites needed.

Day 1: Thursday 10 August, 9:00am - 4:30pm
Day 2: Friday 11 August, 9:00am - 4:30pm

NB: Participants must attend both days of the workshop. There will be no admittance to the workshop on the second day if you have not completed the first day.

REGISTRATIONS are required before 12pm 7 July 2017
