Description

Yin Yoga is the meditative sister of Yang Yoga, the type of yoga you might come across daily on your mat. In our Yin Journey, we will allow the body to deeply soften, helping to release stored tension from the body and to calm the mind. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, we stimulate different meridians, the energetic channels that run inside our bodies.

With this gentle practice, Agnes Gonfaus will lead you towards energy flowing freely in your energetic rivers, unblocking stagnant energy. As you relax into each pose, the vibrations of the live music will wash over you, allowing you to relax even further to access healing of those inner-most areas that are often inaccessible in everyday life.

Intertwining with the Yin poses, Christian Dimarco's epic sound journey will harness the live sounds and vibrations of the ancient Didjeridu, flutes, vocal overtones, and singing bowls. Using the power of sound frequencies we will bridge the realms of the subconscious, Heart Space and Higher Self.

During the Yin & Sound Journey immerse yourself in these organic sounds and vibrations as you relax into the Yin poses. Feel the resonance of the Didjeridu, deep within your Heart Space, passing over your physical body. Still the mind’s voice with the soothing winds of Native American flutes.

All things are vibration. In the realm of sound therapy, it has long been recognised in many cultures that sound can alter consciousness to achieve higher states of meditation, tune the chakras, influence brainwave activity, change behavioural patterns, boost the immune system, improve sleep, reduce stress and release tension. Our journey finishes with deep sound healing with a pinnacle shower of sound.

Yin poses will be held for around 4 to 6 minutes. We will be lying on the ground and the body will be fully supported by props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks.

The sound healing will involve lying still on your mat for around 30mins while the vibrations of the music wash over you.

Expect nourishing adjustments, made with gentle hands on your body in a safe, supportive and non-invasive way. If you don’t wish to have any adjustments, you will be able to discreetly opt out with a small sign provided to you.

Relax before and after the event with our Madame Flavour Teas and a light snack.

Please let us know if you have an injury or limited mobility.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to make yourself comfortable and settle in for the event.

A minimum booking of 20 is required for the event to proceed.
