Information on prospective applications for the 2017 Fellowships will be provided and opportunities for questions to be answered.
Hear Dr Lorann Downer, the 2016 John Oxley Library Fellow, talk about her project . Dr Downer has been reviewing ephemera from the John Oxley Library - including posters, pamphlets, how-to-vote cards, buttons, t shirts and caps - used during significant state elections, referenda and debates in Queensland. She aims to chronicle significant ephemera and analyse their use from a political marketing perspective.
the 2016 recipient of the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame Fellowship, talk about her time as a fellow and her research project which explores Greek cafes in Brisbane from 1880 to and 1980.
Dr Martin Buzzacott, the 2016 Mittelheuser Scholar-in-Residence, is undertaking the production of an e-book to celebrate the 70th (Platinum) Anniversary of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in 2017. Hear Dr Buzzacott share his experience as a scholar-in-residence, delving into the historical resources of the John Oxley Library.
