A Working Bee with Your Research Profile

Your academic profile matters. Your Find an Expert at Deakin profile, your LinkedIn profile or your Google Scholar publications will generally be the first thing that comes up when someone searches for you by name. These sites give you a calling card that you can pass to people to say ‘This is who I am, as an academic’. Potential postgrad students, reporters, people within Deakin and your academic colleagues might use it to get in touch.

So let’s do some work on your profile. This session is structured to give you a brief introduction to these three profiles, and then give you time to work on them. The editing process often brings up questions that help to explore how these systems work best.

By the end of this session, you should have a better understanding of how your Deakin profile works, and have a better profile.
