For years, gay and bisexual men have had to live with records of historic convictions for homosexuality. Victoria decriminalised homosexuality in 1980, before which a conviction could lead to penalties of up to 15 years in prison.
The Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives (ALGA) is the biggest repository of historical materials about lesbian and gay experience in Australia. Join us for a compelling presentation by ALGA investigating LGBTIQ activism and law reform in Victoria.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Individuals may choose to book directly with Darebin Libraries by contacting the library on 1300 655 355.
