About this event
We are taking over Jane Restaurant in Surry Hills to bring you a multi course menu highlighting traditional dishes from the Bicol region in the Philippines. Utilising some of Australia's best and most sustainable local seafood, pasture raised meats and native ingredients.
The menu is priced at $100 per person and will include a few smaller shared dishes followed up by a more substantial main and finishing with dessert and sweets.
Imagine Bicol express made with pastured pork belly, cooked slowly with loads of salted shrimp, chilli and coconut. Kinunot made with smoked bonito that's been shredded and mixed with mallunggay and calamansi. Or maybe Mudcrab Kinagang, tender crab meat mixed with young coconut and steamed in banana leaves.
There will be Filipino inspired cocktails available aswell as beer, wine and non alcoholic drinks.
The dinner starts at 6pm and we ask that all guests arrive promptly to ensure a smooth welcome.
Please note due to the nature of this event we will not be able to accommodate any dietary requirements on the night, however, if there are any allergies please message us well ahead of time so we can cater accordingly.
