Event description

Description

Drawing inspiration from the much loved Christmas song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, students will be guided through designing and creating their very own individualized Partridge and a Pear Tree (or a Magpie and a Cherry Tree for an Adelaide Hills feel) standing decoration just in time for Christmas. Pattern, colour and shape will be explored through drawing and painting techniques designed to build skills in a fun and Christmassy way. BYO smock or old t-shirt to protect clothing.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Classes are located in the rear barn of Patch Kitchen and Garden, 143 Mount Barker Road, STIRLING SA 5152.
  • Classes are strictly restricted to a minimum of 6 students and maximum of 10 students, with preference given to pre-enrolled students (via email, see “booking and payment” below).
  • Enrolment: To avoid disappointment and guarantee your child’s place in a class fill out enrolment form (available through the website) and pay through the Eventbrite. Cash payment will also be accepted on the day only if there is an available spot for your child.
  • Students will only be able to participate in the class when their spot has been paid for and the short enrolment form has been filled out by their parent/carer.
  • Sessions will only run when there is a minimum of 6 students. Enrolled students will be notified as soon as possible if a class will not run due to a lack of participants. In this event, parents/carers will be offered the opportunity to re-book in another class or a refund will be given.
  • As materials are purchased and prepared specially for each class, refunds will only be given for written notice of cancellation 24 hours prior to the session class booked (except if there is a lack of participants, in which case the class will not run).
  • Classes are only suitable for children aged 6-14 years, unfortunately younger students cannot be accommodated due to the skill level required.
  • Parents/carers need to inform Greta of any medical condition/s that may affect your child’s participation in the class.
  • Furthermore, parents/carers must remain on site at Patch Kitchen and Garden at all times in the unlikely event of the need for parental intervention (for example, in the case of disruptive behaviour, sudden illness etc.).
  • Parents/carers are requested to please arrive 5 -10 minutes before class begins to assist in the settling in of your child, to fill out the enrolment form (if you have not already done so), and ensure the lesson can begin in a timely fashion (and so children do not miss out on time to create their beautiful artwork).
  • Please collect your child promptly at the end of the class to ensure Greta can prepare and/or clean up for the next class.
  • Photography of students and their work may occur. Greta will only use these images for promotional purposes and students will not be identified. If you do not want photos taken of your child, please inform Greta at the start of the session and note your choice in the enrolment form.
  • Students are required to bring their own protective smock (an old t-shirt is also suitable).
  • Classes run for 90 minutes with a short 10-15 minutes snack break (please provide a water bottle and small healthy snack for your child).
  • Children will take away their artwork/s at the end of the class.
  • Greta Laundy assets her intellectual copyright of all class lessons, designs, artworks and concepts contained within. These plans, designs and concepts cannot be reproduced or used in any form without written consent.
