Description

Over 6 weeks, attend 3 x 4 hour workshops and engage in weekly exercises, meditations and reflections to explore MIND, BODY and HEART and make Mindfulness part of your daily life.

Step away from the routine of daily life and immerse yourself in three weekend Mindfulness and Meditation workshops in a peaceful retreat-style setting in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges.

Through ‘A Mindful Life’ be empowered by learning, understanding and experiencing the principles and practices of Mindfulness and Meditation so you can confidently implement them in your everyday life.

Session 1: BODY

Introduction to Mindfulness and how to better connect with your 5 senses and your body as a way of grounding you in the present moment, connecting more to your self and exploring ways to reduce stress in the body. Exploring attitudes of non-judgment and curiosity.

Session 2: MIND

Exploring the concept that we can be separate from our thoughts. Learning tools to shift our relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings. Exploring attitudes of acceptance and letting go.

Session 3: HEART

An opportunity to connect with our deeper needs and values by learning to have greater balance with and awareness of feelings and emotions. A focus on compassion for self and others and gratitude.

My intention is to support you to find greater clarity, inner peace and acceptance, so you can better manage the inevitable ups and downs of life.

Through “A Mindful Life” you will learn skills to support you to:

  • Manage difficult thoughts and feelings with greater ease and calm
  • Shift your relationship with your thoughts and feelings
  • Respond to your emotions with greater compassion and acceptance
  • Connect with your body as a way of understanding and responding to your physical and emotional needs
  • Support yourself in managing difficulties such as; stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, physical and emotional pain.
  • Find greater clarity, by learning to de-clutter your inner and outer world
  • Be less reactive and more conscious in how you respond to life
  • Gain greater self awareness and how to respond better to your needs
  • Connect more with what is important to you
  • Connect more with yourself, others, and the world around you

This course includes:

  • Theory
  • Discussions
  • Mindfulness exercises
  • Mindfulness Meditation
  • Gentle Yoga
  • Nature walking meditations
  • Reflective writing exercises
  • 3 x 4 hour workshops
  • Guided audio meditations to supplement your learning and experience of mindfulness and meditation
  • Additional information and learning tools to support your home practice of mindfulness and meditation
  • Delicious, healthy morning tea on each of the three workshop days (all dietary needs catered for)

My personal belief is that if we can find greater clarity, freedom and inner peace within ourselves, we can be open to being the best versions of ourselves for the people and the world around us.
