Speakers:

Tom Williams

Tom has been the founder, or cofounder of 5 Startups, selling an investment management company to a global bank and taking a biotech as CEO to an IPO on the ASX. As a marketing consultant, he launched new products for General Motors, Ford, Yamaha, Dunlop and Kodak. Tom has developed significant innovations for major corporations including video marketing for GSK, Business Class air travel for Qantas domestic airlines and a mathematical model of the Australian stockmarket for HSBC.

Tom has been a pioneer in developing entrepreneurship training for scientists and engineers, with programs like MBA in a Day and Molecules to Medicine, which was funded by the state government. He lectures at Monash University, and the University of Melbourne on the commercialisation of technology, business planning, entrepreneurship and leadership.

Margaret Attwood

Margaret has worked with over 500 companies during 25 years in the professional development field, with experience in both government and private sectors, and with Leadership Management Australasia.

¬ In 2014 Margaret, in conjunction with her partner, formed Phoenix People Development, which specialises in customised programs to meet the specific needs of organisational clients in the areas of:
o Customer engagement
o Team development
o Transformational leadership
o Strategic leadership - workshop design, facilitation and coaching
o Change management
¬ She works at a national level as a program developer, facilitator and corporate coach.
¬ She is a powerful and challenging coach, who takes participants to their next level of effectiveness and leadership
¬ She is persistent and has a strong commitment to ensuring participants, mentors and businesses get extra-ordinary results.
¬ As an experienced facilitator, she brings energy, creativity and insight to her leading and ensures each participant has a unique and fulfilling experience in her workshops.

Peter Attwood

Peter has extensive experience in the financial markets. He worked as a futures broker and fund manager before starting a boutique Funds Management Company, which was sold to HSBC, where he worked for several years.


After joining Leadership Management Australia in 1997 Peter’s skills were instrumental in building the business and managing key accounts, which led to several national and international awards.

In August 2014, after 18 years with LMA Peter left to start Phoenix People Development, a training & development business with a focus on customised courses tailored to the specific needs of the client, producing great results for a wide range of businesses, including Bosch, Nilsen Electrics, Dahlsen Timber, Besam Assa Abloy, Aggreko and Mercedes Benz.
