About this Event

'Poetry as an art form: a concrete guide to writing better poetry'

Do you write poetry? Perhaps you’ve written one or two poems, but they rest in a dark drawer. Or perhaps you’re a published poet. This workshop is for new poets and poets at all levels of experience. Jude’s workshops are about ‘having fun with words’ and catching a poem or two along the way. Let your creative side out for an afternoon of poetic pleasure and word-smithing.

There will be a combination of Jude speaking, reading examples of poetry to demonstrate different elements of the craft and participants writing new poems sparked by entertaining exercises. Sharing the work written in a supportive and encouraging environment will be part of the learning experience. When did writing poetry become so much fun?
