In this talk, Dr Nicholas Godfrey, Senior Lecturer in Screen, Film and Television at Flinders University, will outline the rise of the Hollywood studio system, and consider how the emergence of streaming services, and new global audiences has changed our relationship with the movies.
Bio: Nicholas Godfrey is a Senior Lecturer in Screen, Film and Television at Flinders University, where he teaches classes on the Hollywood industry, film style, popular genres and Asian cinema. He is the author of The Limits of Auteurism: Case Studies in the Critically Constructed New Hollywood.
