90-Day Business Networking Action Plan (Training Course)
🎯 Purpose
To equip participants with the mindset, tools, and strategies tonetwork effectively, build relationships, and convert connections into business opportunitieswithin 90 days.
Phase 1: Foundation (Weeks 1–4)
Objective:Build a strong personal networking base.
Week 1 – Networking Mindset & Goal Setting
- Training: Why networking matters beyond sales (long-term trust, referrals, collaborations).
- Activity: Set SMART goals (e.g., 3 quality connections per event, 5 follow-ups per week).
- Exercise: Write a personal “Networking Mission Statement.”
Week 2 – Personal Branding & Positioning
- Training: Crafting a memorable introduction (60-second pitch).
- Activity: Develop LinkedIn profile and business card alignment.
- Exercise: Practice “value-based” introductions in pairs or small groups.
Week 3 – Building Your Toolkit
- Training: Business cards, digital contact tools (QR codes, CRM apps).
- Activity: Create a lead capture system (spreadsheet or CRM).
- Exercise: Map out your current network (clients, suppliers, peers).
Week 4 – Listening & Relationship Building
- Training: Active listening, asking powerful questions, remembering names.
- Activity: Roleplay conversations with emphasis on listening.
- Exercise: Pair up to practice shifting from “transactional talk” to “relationship talk.”
Phase 2: Expansion (Weeks 5–8)
Objective:Expand reach and visibility.
Week 5 – Event Strategy
- Training: How to prepare for networking events (research, goals, follow-ups).
- Activity: Each member attends at least 1 external networking event.
- Exercise: Create an “Event Checklist” template.
Week 6 – Follow-Up Mastery
- Training: 24/48-hour rule for follow-ups.
- Activity: Draft 3 follow-up message templates (email, LinkedIn, SMS).
- Exercise: Roleplay different follow-up scenarios (referral, collaboration, social).
Week 7 – Leveraging Social Media
- Training: Using LinkedIn, Facebook groups, and online communities for networking.
- Activity: Post 1 value-driven piece of content on LinkedIn.
- Exercise: Comment on 5 industry posts meaningfully.
Week 8 – Collaboration Opportunities
- Training: Spotting win-win partnerships and joint ventures.
- Activity: Match group members into “power pairs” to discuss collaboration ideas.
- Exercise: Each person presents one potential collaboration idea.
Phase 3: Conversion & Leadership (Weeks 9–12)
Objective:Turn connections into opportunities and step into a leadership role.
Week 9 – Asking for Referrals & Introductions
- Training: How to ask without being pushy.
- Activity: Draft a script for referral requests.
- Exercise: Practice referral conversations in triads.
Week 10 – Giving Value First
- Training: The power of reciprocity in networking.
- Activity: Each participant makes 3 introductions for others.
- Exercise: Share stories of how giving first led to opportunities.
Week 11 – Hosting & Leading Networking
- Training: Hosting a small networking meetup, online or offline.
- Activity: Plan a mini “coffee connect” event.
- Exercise: Members rotate hosting roles.
Week 12 – Review, Refine, and Scale
- Training: Tracking ROI of networking (clients, referrals, collaborations).
- Activity: Create a personal 12-month networking plan.
