Ground Roots Cooking Class
This course is designed to go back to the basics. So many foods we eat are so simple to make and there is something wonderful about making your own basics like bread and butter without all of the nasties found in packaged foods.
When you arrive at the farm we will enjoy a beautiful homemade morning tea before we start our day of cooking. We will start our yoghurt & sourdough baking then go for a wander around the farm to say hello to all the animals and collect eggs and any other ingredients we have growing on the farm that we will need for the day.
Throughout the day, we will work on our sourdough, butter, chutney, pickles, yoghurt, labne and an awesome cake that can be turned into 40 different flavours and styles of cakes, made into a biscuit and even a dessert.
A farmhouse lunch is provided using some of the produce we grow and also make on the day.
By the end of the day you will head home with a box full of farm food you have made from scratch and armed with the skills and confidence to do it all over again at home.

This is a 100% hands on class limited to 8 participants.
