Event Details

The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility, in partnership with the Macquarie University, support research projects that develop information vital for making decisions that account for climate change in Australia. 

This event will showcase research occuring at Macquarie University and facilitate a conversation in adaptation in Sydney by providing a forum for decision makers to interact with local researchers. 

Some of the topics to be explored include: 

  • Tools for prioritising and and comparing investment in climate change adaptation
  • Assessing the potential for, and limits to, insurance and market-based mechanisms for encouraging climate change adaptation
  • Damage to buildings during the 2010-2011 Eastern Australia flooding events
Afternoon tea will be included and the event will be followed by refreshments.
