Mindfulness for Life is more than a basic, beginners course. You will not only learn mindfulness meditation practice but you'll be coached to integrate the teachings and activities into your life in practical ways.

The course provides a 35 page workbook, downloadable meditation guide, activities, follow up email each week, daily home practises. Plus you'll have on-going support and inclusion in our like-minded community.
Mindfulness for Life is more than a basic meditation course, you'll be coached by our experienced Life Coach and Mindfulness teacher to integrate the learning into your daily life. You'll be required to do readings and activities every week. A genuine commitment to daily meditation home practise is essential for the duration of the 6 weeks and hopefully beyond.
What is mindfulness according to Mindful Magazine? Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
The benefits of Mindfulness outlined in the American Psychology Association include stress reduction, boosts to working memory, reduced rumination, improved focus, less emotional reactivity, cognitive flexibility, relationship satisfaction, enhance insight and increased immune function.
Mindfulness meditation practise can lead to significant changes in the brain. Improving connectivity to the self regulating region and decreasing the size of the primal region of the brain.
Our evidence based program is offered as a secular framework but we acknowledge the teachings draw from the ancient, Eastern wisdom traditions of Buddhism.
The location for the course is an established modern studio in the heart of Camberwell at the Junction. We have seating, yoga mats and refreshments and friendly, warm staff. Access to the practice via tram or car with lots of parking.
Prior to the commencement of the course you will be sent a confidential intake questionnaire and need to email it back before the start date. You're welcome to call and speak to the teacher Marion with any questions.

Mindfulness Teacher: Marion Miller
Marion is an experienced Mindfulness Teacher and certified Life Coach and has practiced meditation since her early 20’s exploring many traditions and teachings. Marion studied at the Life Coaching Institute of Australia and holds a Life Coaching Diploma with a speciality in Health/Wellness and Business and did Meditation teacher Training in 2009 under Matt Young. Marion is currently enrolled in MTIA studying the MBSR teaching pathway. Marion has an established practice in Camberwell, Melbourne.
