Event description

Description

The people we work with, and how we work with them are crucial to the positive operation of any organisation. So what do you do when a difficult situation comes up? Do you know how to handle a tricky conversation?

Do you ever wish you had more confidence when handling a sticky situation?

Mitchell Shire Council are pleased to deliver a FREE 6 Ingredients: Handling Tricky Conversations Training Session (2 session times available) to assist community organisations with best practice strategies and approaches for successfully navigating tricky conversations.

This session will focus on providing community groups with the tools to better manage their volunteers and staff. It will help to put best practice structures in place so focusing on the organisation’s purpose and delivering valued services to the community becomes easier, with a more motivated and structured team.

Topics in this session include:

  • Diversity – understanding differences within the workplace, sharing knowledge
  • Perspective – personal objectives and organisational mission
  • Communication –non-judgemental and non-blaming communication
  • Cooling Off – seeking space and clarity
  • Resolution – focus on finding positive pathways and moving forward
  • Patience – working towards collaboration and organisational success

About the facilitator:
