About this event

The Bond Business School offers students and staff members the opportunity to learn about the Bloomberg Professional Service platform, and receive recognition of their knowledge through the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) course.

Introductory sessions will be held on three Friday afternoons through the semester, for approximately 2 hours each. Each session will cover similar content, while being tailored to the interests of audience members on request. Attendees are free to stay behind after each session to use the Bloomberg terminals and start their BMC accreditation. On completion of the session, as well as BMC accreditation, students can receive 24x7 access to both The Trading Room and The Dealing Room.

Please be advised The Trading Room has 17 Bloomberg terminals, however the total number of available tickets for each session has been set to 20. Therefore, it is advised to come on time to better ensure your chances of using a Bloomberg terminal throughout the session. In the event that more people attend than the number of terminals available, please know additional seating will be provided to ensure all attendees can still watch the presentation. Should the event be booked out, add yourself to the waitlist, and feel free to turn up and share a terminal with someone or watch the demonstration.

Please register to the Eventbrite session with your Bond University email address.

The event session dates for the 223 semester are as follows:

  • Week 2: 23rd of September 2022 (in person)
  • Week 5: 14th of October 2022 (in person)
  • Week 7: 28th of October 2022 (in person)

The sessions will be run by Dean Earea.

Those seeking to learn more about the Bloomberg Professional Service Platform are also recommended to visit the Bond FinTech Hub iLearn Community site (available to all current students and staff members). A recording of the first session will also be available via the iLearn site Blackboard Collaborate functionality.
