Description

OPEN TO ALL SCHOOL DADS..

Bracken Ridge State School 'Fathers Fishing Night' event provides Bracken Ridge State School Fathers and Caregivers the opportunity to enjoy some fishing and fun with their kids

This event is designed for first time anglers and experienced fisherman alike to come down and get the local tips from local fishing guru Mark Templeton.

This event is suitable to bring your boys and girls along to enjoy fishing at the Shorncliffe Pier. Once you register, we will send you a list of what you need to bring along including the exact meeting place. There is no cost for this event.

Prior to the evening Mark and his team invite you to visit the shop at TackleLand Sandgate to get some free tips on knot tying and to discuss any other fishing questions you might have.

What to bring:

  • Rod/Reel/Line

  • Packet of sinkers

  • Bucket

  • Jumper

  • Insect repellant

  • Torch

  • Knife

  • Chairs

  • Drinks (no alchohol)

  • Snacks

  • Camera

This event is sponsored by Tackleland Sandgate and they are providing bait, advice and help on the night. If you need any advice on getting gear - see Mark at Tackleland anytime. We can't guarantee that you will catch a fish, but you will have heaps of fun.

We are welcoming Dads and father figures from other schools to come along and find out more about The Fathering Project (Currently Bracken Ridge State School and Nashville State School are involved and we want to get this FREE program into all the schools in Bracken Ridge, Sandgate and beyond).
