What you get

Included in the costs are 3 nights accommodation, all meals and transport.  There will be three to four daily meditation and talks as well as meditative walks around the gorgeous surrounding rainforest. The retreat allows the opportunity to practice in a silent environment (as the retreat will practiced in Noble silence).

Dana (generosity) Practice

In the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are given freely because they are considered priceless; in the Buddhist tradition we also practice dana, or generousity, by making monetary offerings for the teachings

Your Facilitator

The daily mediation and talks will be lead by John Barter, who will also be giving guidance One-on-One throughout the retreat.  John is a practicing Psychologist and Mindfulness Mediatation Teacher at Well-Aware-Ness Psychology in Sydney.  John brings over 30 years of continuous study and practice of Mindfullness tradtions and for over 10 years was a Buddhist Monk of the Theravada Forest Tradition, living and practising in Australian, Thailand, Britain and Europe.

The Benefits of Meditation and the Practice of Noble silence

The practice of Noble silence will be encouraged throughout the retreat. Silence will be practiced except after meditation, when open communication will be encouraged in a group discussion format.  Silence is encouraged to ensure that the wisdom teachings can be comtemplated individually without unnecessary distraction.
