Dan Gavel, Director at Black Sheep Capital
Daniel Gavel is an experienced entrepreneur and technology investor whose current focus is as director of Black Sheep Capital and The Flock, Black Sheep Capital’s Syndicate. Dan started out in financial advisory, growing his own practice before exiting the industry in 2013 and establishing Black Sheep Capital to invest in early-stage tech companies and other assets. Today, Black Sheep Capital is one of Australia’s most active angel and seed investors and has funded a wide range of startups including Airtasker, Sendle and Go1. Dan plays an active role backing and mentoring startups and contributing to the development of Australia’s innovation eco-system. He brings his commercial acumen and strong corporate networks to his investment activities and believes strongly in the power of collaboration in helping new ventures grow to their full potential.
Hannah Parton-Cyr
Hannah Parton-Cyr is a venture analyst with a keen interest in technology and sustainability. After growing up in Texas, Hannah studied chemical engineering and nanotechnology at the University of Southern California. Following that, she began her career as a project analyst in the Transportation sector in Australia. While working as an analyst, she has partnered with various technology companies in the Safety space and become adept in scenario modelling, stakeholder engagement and change management. She has a keen interest and passion for new technology and its impact on end customers, as well as the global economy and social equity. Recently, Hannah finished a Masters of International Economics and Finance from the University of Queensland.
