Event description

Description

Today we live in a crazy-busy-always-switched-on world, full of smart phones and constant connection. All this makes our lives unstable and chaotic. To help us gain stability and composure we need to get off the merry-go-round of perpetual doubt and distraction and onto the solid ground of silent contemplation and wise discernment.

To help us achieve this, we need to find a quiet time and a quiet place. The 3 Yogas Retreat provides this unique opportunity. The 3 Yogas are Karma yoga — the path of selfless action, Bhakti yoga — the path of devotion or higher love, and Gnana yoga — the path of knowledge, or wisdom.

At the 3 Yogas Retreat you will enjoy a unique spiritual experience designed to help you disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself. You will gain essential tools to quieten your mind, so that you can live a healthy and happy life, filled with peace, joy, vitality and contentment.

Who should attend?

Anyone, young and old (you are never too old), who wants to learn how to disconnect from ego and reconnect with who they really are. Who wants to learn how to overcome that which holds them back, keeps them stuck, and prevents them from realising their true potential.

Facilitators

Meredith Forder is a philosopher, a self management consultant and the founding director of Vedanta Institute Perth, who presents insights about our modern-day epidemics — stress, anxiety, fear, addictions, divorce and depression — and provides a refreshing way to overcome them. A graduate of the Vedanta Academy, in India, Meredith offers the essence of Eastern philosophy to our Western society, bringing a balance between outer success and inner peace of mind.

Rachel Mooris is a qualified yoga teacher and holistic massage therapist, whose interest in yoga philosophy has taken her to India, where she studied Vedanta at the Vedanta Academy, under Swami Parthasarathy.. Rachel has since completed her teacher training in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga and is currently training to be a Yoga therapist. Her work has taken her around the world, where she has worked in dayspas, resorts and on cruise ships.

Aasha Broad is a qualified yoga instructor who grew up with parents who were students of Vedanta. As a teenager Aasha traveled to India to learn Vedanta at the Vedanta Academy, under the guidance of Swami Parthasarathy. Since returning to Perth, Aasha has become a secondary school mathematics teacher and a mother — and continues to share her passion for learning about life and yoga with others.
