3 Workshops spread over 2 days, Saturday & Sunday 12th & 13th November in Emerald QLD.

Brie & Sourdough Dough Making Workshop: 9.30am-12.30 pm Saturday

Learn how to make your own delicious brie cheese from cow’s milk as well as easy to make delicious sourdough bread. Both of these fermented foods are made on the spot with samples for taste testing for all attendees. Hands on participation from the class volunteers will show how to make brie cheese, and sourdough bread from scratch. Everyone will have dough to knead so bring the aprons! Includes: E-Handouts with recipes, sourdough starter, bread dough to bake at home or bake on the day and taste testing.
We will also have cheese cultures for sale after class so you can make cheese at home plus my home cheese making DVD and 'Ferment Your Way to Good Health' book.

Feta Cheese, Cultured Butter, Ghee, Yoghurt, Kefir, Quark & Sour Cream Making Workshop: 1.30pm-4.30 pm Saturday

Learn how to make Feta cheese, cultured butter, yoghurt, kefir and sour cream. In this three hour workshop you will see how easy it is to make Feta cheese and put the life back into pasteurised milk and cream to make healthy life giving dairy products. Participation is by attendees and tasting of topics covered on the day will be available. Includes: E-Handouts with recipes and taste testing.
We will also have cheese cultures for sale after class so you can make cheese at home plus my home cheese making DVD and 'Ferment Your Way to Good Health' book.

Lactic Fermentation of Vegetables, Fruits & Beverages Making Workshop: 12 Noon-3pm Sunday

Lactic or wild fermentation is a natural fermentation method that creates zillions of lactic bacteria that are a wonderful source of pro biotics for your inner health. Learn how make these easy ferments for yourself and see how versatile and varied these can be. Ferments such as sauerkraut, kimchi, fermented tomato sauce, fermented fruit paste, fermented carrots with ginger, fruit chutney, cucumber pickles, fermented polenta fingers, nuca doca, as well as kombucha tea, beet kvass and ginger beer. Participants will be learning how to make these ferments through demonstration and participation. Includes: E-Handouts with recipes and taste testing of all foods and beverages that we make.
We will also have my 'Ferment Your Way to Good Health' book for sale after class.
